Happy New Year! It is hard to believe it is already 2020 and resolution time. Like most people, the holidays found me enjoying much more food (especially sweets) than I probably should have. I found time to eat but someone ran out of time to work out.
Like most, I decided my first two resolutions would be to get back into the gym and lose weight. However, I changed my mind after coming across a very important piece of information while reading last weekend.
Did you know….if you have 5 inches of fat in your body, you can stop a 9mm bullet and prevent it from reaching your vital organs? I immediately realized that I am not fat…….I’m ARMED! The fact that I am in the midst of menopause, the appropriate term would actually be, “I’m Armed and Dangerous”!
I think it is safe to say when we think about New Year’s resolutions, weight loss makes the top of most lists. From a different perspective, I want to challenge not only myself but each of you, to “Lose the Weight” in 2020.
The weight of self-doubt.
The weight of comparison.
The weight of other’s opinions.
The weight of unrealistic expectations.
The weight of worrying about tomorrow.
The weight of your past mistakes.
The weight of believing you’ll never be enough.
You already are enough sister! God loves you immeasurably and unconditionally.
Until next week……..Don’t forget to smile!
